GENERAL INFORMATION
Ordering
Whenever possible, please submit orders to ODL in writing. This will assure accuracy, completeness and avoid duplication. All prices shown are per unit in full carton lots. If less than a full carton is needed, a single pack part number is available for order at single pack pricing. Changes in orders, if approved, may result in rescheduling of shipment at the discretion of ODL.
Returns and Cancellations
Prior written approval must be obtained from ODL before returning merchandise. Products in customer’s warehouse more than 30 days, special orders, damaged, or overstocked items are not subject to return or cancellation. Only product suitable for ODL’s reshipment will be credited with 75% of purchase price. Units must be returned to ODL, freight prepaid.
US Freight Policy
Additional Details:
LTL Freight for one customer with multiple delivery addresses will incur an additional Pooled Freight flat fee rate for each additional delivery address. All shipment locations must be within 350 miles of the first delivery address.
Pooled Freight is available for orders that can be consolidated with other shipments within 5 business days of readiness and within 350 miles of the original delivery address. Shipments that cannot be pooled under this criteria will be shipped and billed at LTL rates.
Additional charges may apply for special requests, including but not limited to: lift gate service, residential delivery, appointments and redelivery, etc.

Lead Times
Our nationwide network of distribution centers is fully stocked with inventory to support your needs.
To meet the demands by region, we have developed a Quick Ship Program that allows us to reduce the lead time of our most popular products.
QUICK SHIP Quick Ship items have a lead time of 1-business day.
OUT-OF-STOCK QUICK SHIP Out-of-stock Quick Ship have a lead time of 5-business days.
BUILD-TO-ORDER Build-To-Order items vary by distribution center and are noted on the map below
ODL Shipping Notification System
Knowledge is power, and now you have it with the exclusive ODL Shipping Notification System. This system uses e-mail to give you specific information for tracking your shipments and coordinating deliveries for smoother, more efficient production scheduling.
For assistance with shipping notifications, please contact ODL by calling 1-800-253-3900.
The first ODL Shipping Notification e-mail includes:
- A PDF with the Packing slip information included in the shipment
- Your purchase order number
- Ship date, carrier identification, and waybill number
- Ship-to address and expected arrival date
PRODUCT RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS AND FREIGHT CLAIMS POLICY
ODL team members are committed to providing excellent service. Our aim is to ensure your product arrives accurately, on time, and undamaged. As part of our commitment to meeting these objectives, we ask that you fulfill the appropriate receiving procedures which will ultimately allow us to identify opportunities and make corrections where needed.
RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS
- Inspect this shipment immediately upon delivery. Do not sign the carrier’s delivery receipt until you have inspected the shipment for piece count, accuracy, and damage.
- Notate damage and/or shortages on the carrier’s delivery receipt (pod) with a representative from the carrier present before accepting the order. The freight carrier has acknowledged receipt of this shipment from our facilities in GOOD CONDITION. By your acceptance of this shipment from the carrier as noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt (POD), you acknowledge that the product has been delivered in good condition unless any damages and/or shortages are noted on the delivery receipt (pod) at the time of delivery.
- Sign for piece count and pallet count even in the event damage is noted. ODL will not be responsible for loss or damage when delivery receipts (POD) are signed clear.
- ODL recommends a best practice that each Proof of Delivery is stamped and dated to notify the carrier that the “shipment received is subject to discrepancy audit and inspection”.
- Contact ODL Customer Service immediately to let us know of any damage and/or shortages on your shipment.
CLAIMS FOR SHORTAGES OR DAMAGES - PREPAID SHIPMENTS ONLY
As part of our ongoing commitment to customer service, ODL will accept responsibility for handling freight claims on prepaid shipments. To resolve claims on collect shipments (freight collect) please contact the carrier directly.
VISIBLE DAMAGE AND/OR SHORTAGE: Claims can be made only when it is indicated on the carrier’s Delivery Receipt (POD) at the time of delivery. The claim must then be reported by telephone, fax, or e-mail immediately to ODL Customer Service. No claims will be allowed without the proper paperwork signed by the customer and the carrier. Maintain possession of damaged product until claim is settled for potential inspection by a carrier representative.
