Impact Rated Solutions

HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) applies only to Miami-Dade and Broward counties in Florida and requires the most rigorous impact and wind testing. WBDR (Wind-Borne Debris Region) covers a broader coastal area and requires impact-resistant doors and windows or shutters but with slightly less strict standards than HVHZ.

In many coastal zones that experience severe weather, building code dictates that impact rated products are to be used in home and commercial construction. These materials help keep homes standing, prevent debris and water from entering the structure, and protect families.

Our products are certified to meet Florida building codes and Texas Department of Insurance approvals — two distinct markets that set a high standard for impact rated products.
