Select ODL doorglass products meet regional ENERGY STAR® thermal performance standards as defined by the U.S. Department of Energy. ODL Tubular Skylights have also earned the ENERGY STAR®, and can eliminate the need for electric lights while bringing natural light to dark spaces.
ODL Enclosed Blinds & Shades can increase thermal efficiency by as much as 104%. ODL Enclosed Blinds can also reduce solar heat gain up to 77% and reduce heat loss up to 28%.

ODL products: energy efficiency ratings
U-factor and SHGC explained
The lower the U-factor (or U-value), the lower the rate of heat flow, reducing heating and cooling bills. The Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) measures ability to block heat caused by sunlight. The lower the SHGC, the more air conditioning costs are reduced.
ODL doorglass ratings
Energy efficiency ratings for ODL doorglass products vary by door construction, doorglass type, and size.
The ratings of participating door manufacturers can be found in the NFRC on-line directory. Contact ODL for more information about which door and doorglass combinations meet ENERGY STAR® requirements.
