Easy enough to install.
Great light in the summer, solar powered dimmer a good idea
Disappointed in the amount of light brought in in the winter, dome also has a tendency to frost up
Overall a good investment

Not as smooth as I had hoped
All the instructions were clear and I had no trouble following them. I did however, have a problem in that I was not able to access the parts in the attic and had to work at the roof end and the ceiling end only. While trying to rotate the top adjustable sections, the darned thing came apart on my friend and I as it was extremely difficult to rotate (very tight)and we tried for almost an hour to screw the pieces back together but were unable to do so. Since only the bottom section is in place, once the weather warms up a bit, I hope to try and tape in some tin foil and hang it down from the roof end to close up the gap.
I am a bit disappointed in the amt of light thrown off, tho I do realize the sun during January is at its lowest height, so hopefully as the sun angle increases, the light will get a little brighter. And the lens also cuts down on the amt of light passed thru.

Excellent product that does the job.
We are very happy and proud to show off our two new tubular skylights. They are installed in a bathroom and utility room, both of which are windowless. Visitors continually try to turn off the light fixture in the rooms, when leaving. They are a true asset to our home.

Some Brilliance for your Buck~!
I purchaseed two of these during a re-roof, and was quite impressed with the cost, quality, and ease of installation! The instructions are clear and well written, and the kit required little effort to install. I think it took me longer to decide where to put them in- than to put them in~! You'll save on your electric bill, and those full moon nights will feel like you're sleeping under the stars!

Bright Light for a Good Price
I originally wanted to put in standard window type skylights in my Kitchen. The roof joists were not set up to do this properly so I started looking into tubular skylights and found the ODL tubular skylight. They are great, they fit the bill and get the job done. I was able to install them with little hassle and they look great. They are a real compliment to the can lights I also have installed in the Kitchen.

Great addition, but pricy
I bought this product as a way to improve a dark entry area. The skylight is a great improvement. The area is much lighter now than before. We were a bit disappointed at first, feeling that for the price it was not a huge difference. I contacted customer service, and after asking me several questions, they sent out a different diffuser at no cost to me, and improved the amount of lght substantially. I have a hip type roof, so I had to purchase several extenders due to the heighth of the attic, so this got a little pricey which I would say is the only drawback.

Wonderful lighting
We have had 3 tubular skylights installed, bathroom, hallway and kitchen and am totally amazed at the amount of comfortable light they allow into each of the areas. Only wish we had had them before! Thank you ODL.
