ODL Decorative Privacy Windows install just like a regular window and are ideal for new construction or remodeling.

• ODL Decorative Privacy Windows have a unit size of 49 5/8" x 49 5/8" (outside of frame dimension) and are of considerable weight. A typical unit at 129 lbs requires proper 2 x 4 framing with vertical supports below the unit to ensure stability. The suggested rough opening is 50-1/8" x 50-1/8".
• Unit should be secured into 2 x 4 framing with 3" deck screws. Pre-drill holes on the inside of the frame and evenly space 3 screw holes on all four sides of the jamb for a secure fit into the opening.
• Before placing the unit into the rough opening, place a large bead of caulk on the backside of the brickmould and under the sill.
• Shim the unit evenly into the opening and secure with the 3" deck screws. After sinking the screws, cover with spackling if desired.
• Interior casing should be used to cover the gap between the unit and framing. Insulate this gap to prevent airflow.
• On the exterior of the home, properly caulk between brickmould and siding to prevent water and air infiltration.
